Caloy baduria weathered reman lazaro's take downs to pull-out a gritty win on the mat last july 18 2009 at a.venue events hall at agression" urcc 14. Lazaro, a cubam mma fighter from florida, coached by henry kobayashi of yawyan, came out with a great game plan
take caloy to the mat and keep him there. caloy would not have any of it and magaged to wear down the cuban with punches to the ribs whilst on the ground.
The cuban sooned succumbed to badurias punches and the fight was halted at around 8 minutes of the first round. Lazaro had to be stretechered and had an oxygen tank attached to his face for the next half hour
FOlayang suffereda headbutt in the late minutes of the second round against spike22's aj aguono, causing folayang to bleed profusely. however folayang had already mastered aguono with strikes and heavy kicks to the inside and outside of the thigh..
also dominating aguono in the takedowns and sweeps department , folayang landd a good number of shots to the head, which aguono weathere like a true tough islander. Folayang at the end of the match got a unanimous decision for his performance
It was a sell-out crowd for the URCC producers -over 2000 were in attendance

URCC "AGGRESSION" MARCUS VADA VS CALOY BADURIA

URCC CEBU 4 PROVING GROUNDS A ROARING SUCCESS!
The blood and beer stained mat said it all. This was the event that put visayan MMA n the map. Renalu lao, together with jed dario and franz von muhlfeld put on a raucous event at CICC in cebu last june 20 2009. The MMA event featured 10 bouts of non-stop action
The blood stained ring a testament to the ferocity of the strikes involved that evening. blood pouring out of eyes, ears noses and mouths was a testimony to the raw action on display
In the undercard we saw sabah fadai of persia winning a very technical fight over maic's gym proponent andrew benibe. Benibe just could not close the range and deftac cebu's fadai skillfully won the match with high flying kicks and precision jabs
The main event -engi piloto the toughest cmpetitor from cebu, faced bagio's lakay wushu's dreaded Mark ediva, Ediva needed only a few seconds into the match to stamp his authority, taking away piloto's legs with a vicous side roundhouse to the shin that left piloto sprawlng on the mat..
a few minutes later ediva got the mount and pummeled pilotos face into a swollen mass of flesh and bone. The match mercifully was halted by returning URCC referee Joel yaptinchay

EDUARD FOLAYANG - COMING SOON TO THE UFC?
Could edward folayang be the first full blooded home grown mma fighter to fight in the UFC? rumors are rife that the UFC is looking for a filipino fighter to capture the local fans support when (and if) the UFC lands in the Philippines.
Folayang certainly looks qualified as he has a sterling record in both sanshou and MMA.
His last fight barely lasted a minute. His hapless competitior was rumored to be backing out of the fight after hearing of Folayang's ferocious leg shots, folayang did land one massive kick to the leg, one shot thta had norita limping after the fight.
If reports are tru folayand could just be the break-through fighter we need to truly enter the MMA limelight via the UFC
